Learning Programs at Little Hearts
Our Curriculum Overview
A Balanced Learning Journey
Little Hearts Community School offers age appropriate learning programs from 1 month to Grade 3. Our curriculum supports early development, confidence, reading, writing, numeracy, creativity, and social growth.
We combine structured classroom learning with practical activities, play, and individual support. Each program helps children build the skills they need for the next stage of learning.

Daycare (1 month to 3 years)
Our Daycare Program focuses on care, comfort, and early growth. At this stage, children are learning to sit, crawl, walk, and become more independent each day. We support potty training, feeding routines, and simple daily habits that help children grow with confidence. As they grow, children begin to play on their own, interact with others, and rely less on constant assistance. Our environment helps them feel safe while slowly becoming more independent

Preschool and Creche
This is the preparation stage for Junior Primary. Children begin learning how a school environment works while building confidence and independence. They learn numbers, letters, shapes, colors, and how to follow instructions in a classroom setting. They also take part in group activities, storytelling, and basic writing. This is also the stage where children are introduced to computer lessons and swimming. They learn the basics in a simple and fun way, helping them become comfortable with both from an early age

Grade R to Grade 3
This is the beginning of formal primary school. Learners follow a structured CAPS aligned curriculum that focuses on reading, writing, and mathematics. Children learn how to read with understanding, write clearly, and solve problems using numbers. They also develop discipline, focus, and responsibility in their daily school work. We support each learner to build strong foundations so they can progress with confidence into higher grades

Computers (3 years +)
Our Computer Program is based on a curriculum approved by Computers4Kids. We follow structured lessons designed for each age group. Children learn how to use a computer step by step, starting with basic mouse control and simple activities. As they grow, they begin creating, solving simple problems, and using the computer with confidence The program is designed to match their level, making learning easy, practical, and enjoyable

Swimming (3 years +)
Our Swimming Program is led by a certified swimming coach. Children are taught in a safe and controlled environment. They learn water safety, basic swimming skills, and how to feel comfortable in the water. Lessons are done step by step based on each child’s level. Swimming helps children build confidence, improve coordination, and stay active while learning an important life skill
